Tittarelli Tempranillo Reserva

An Amazing Red: Deep Purple with Fruit Flavors...
This noble variety from Spain is the predominant grape in Rioja. The oenologist takes special care when growing these grapes to maximize their potential in this micro-climate. The tannins add to the complexity, excellent mouth feel, and aging potential of this wine, which can be surprisingly long. This is a remarkable expression of the Tempranillo grape, true to its roots, but with more texture and complexity than you will find at this price point from Spain.

Tasting Notes:
“This wine, from 100% Tempranillo, is deep purple with red fruit flavors, and hints of tobacco and roasted hazelnuts. The tannins add to the complexity, excellent mouth feel, and aging potential of this wine, which can be surprisingly long.” If you enjoy Tempranillo or Rioja, you owe it to yourself to try this amazing red!

Tittarelli Winery
Tittarelli is one of the oldest and most prestigious wineries in all of Argentina. Founded by Enrique Tittarelli in 1915, just after his arrival from Italy.Tittarelli owns over 1800 hectares (4500 acres) of vines right below the Andes Mountains, an area with an exceptional micro-climate which makes it possible to grow high-quality grapes. The company is divided into two wineries, which combine tradition and technology to create wines of excellent character.

The 33 degree south latitude is a special geographic point as the climate of this zone is characterized by a large swing in temperatures. These conditions, together with the scarce rainfall and the sandy and permeable soil make the ‘cuyana’ area the most suitable for growing grapes, making it possible to compete with and even excel the best and most traditional European wineries.

Achieving excellent wine at the vineyard requires expert work. A team of professionals and specialists, highly qualified, with technicians and workers continues today the legacy of three generations which has made and makes Tittarelli great. The loam sandy, calcareous soils, the good drainage, as well as the scarce rainfall turns the area into a unique environment to cultivate grape vines that yield high quality wines, able to compete with the best in the world.
