From selected vineyards in the Cuyo region, this wonderful white wine is the perfect example of the indigenous Torrontes grape. Many compare the nose to that of Viognier and the body and taste to a good Sauvignon Blanc. Delicious!
TASTING NOTES:Shows an expressive nose reminiscent of Muscat with honeysuckle, grapefruit and floral aromas of jasmine and rose petals. In the palate it presents rich flavors of peach, lichee and melon with good body. The ripe peach flavor creates a silky texture balanced by a crisp, firm acidity and a dry finish. A superb match for spicy or strongly flavored foods.

"The Legado 2008 Torrontes is a lovely pale straw revealing attractive varietal character with jasmine and lychee aromas. It is medium weight with a restrained fruity palate and good acidity. It is nicely balanced and finishes dry and refreshing."

Founder, Tomas Machado’s family ancestor Don Manuel de Villefane began making wine in Argentina in the year 1611, which gives us nearly 400 years of wine making experience here in the heart of South America. This impressive winery represents his ‘Legacy’ or ‘Legado’ (in Spanish), and we are proud to honor his memory with these fine wines of Maipu, Mendoza.
