Puligny with Character and Breed
This is one of the more famous villages in Burgundy since the Grand Cru vineyard ‘Le Montrachet’ falls within its boundaries. The village adds “-Montrachet” to its name of Puligny to make you aware of this. LVB’s village Puligny is made from Chardonnay on a limestone soil.Extremely elegant, with exceptional balance and very long-lived, these wines are bright and acidic when young with yellow-gold color and a lingering finish. This prime example shows a very nice nose of citrus and mineral, full fruit in the mid-palate with wet stone, lots of ‘matière’ and a long, lingering finish. This is our favorite for lobster.
