Guy Charlemagne Brut Extra

Full-Bodied With a Long, Lingering Finish
A superb fine and persistent mousse with light and discrete aromas, flowery in style with some richness afforded by the addition of 30% Pinot Noir. This is accomplished with the addition of Pinot Noir to yield a fuller, fruitier character and longer finish. Most Champagnes in France are made from about 25% each of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay and 40% or more of Pinot Meunier, a relative of the Pinot Noir, which ripens sooner and matures faster in the bottle.Pinot Meunier is also less expensive, and is, therefore used by big houses for their Brut Non-Vintage Champagnes.None of our Charlemagne Champagnes are made with Pinot Meunier.

Here’s what the Wine Spectator thought of the Brut Extra:
“A pure, clean tantalizing
Champagne.Really bright in personality, backed with solid fruit flavors and acidity.”
