Made from 100% Chardonnay...
Andean Wineries is dedicated to producing premium and reserve wines in Mendoza, Argentina, at the foothills of the Andes mountains in Maipu. Their philosophy is centered on creating wines that speak of the land where they are grown and crafted. They believe that their task is to recreate and enhance the potential contained in the grapes, using the state of the art knowledge, the best materials, and the latest materials. In 2002, a new winery was built with a capacity of 3000 hectoliters in refrigerated stainless steel tanks, a cave for 160 Bordeaux style oak barrels, and a temperature controlled wine maturation and bottle storage area.
Antis Chardonnay is made from 100% Chardonnay cultivated at 1050 meters altitude in the Luján de Cuyo region from 25-year old vines at a yield of 45 hl/ha (about 4.5 tons per acre). The wine is golden in color with an attractive baked apple character with citrus and peach undertones. It is medium-bodied, showing nice balance with hints of tropical fruits on the palate and on the clean, crisp finish. This well-crafted Chardonnay is a great accompaniment to poultry, fish, and cream-based pasta dishes. Best enjoyed within two or three years of the vintage.
